Research & Strategy Intern (Spring)

The Research and Strategy team serves as the nexus of insight at EIP, performing sectoral analysis, leading working groups with our utility partners, and scanning for investable companies. Applicants should have a keen interest in energy, sustainability, and innovation and can expect to gain exposure to board-level utility strategy, entrepreneurial growth strategy, cleantech investing, and market intelligence delivery. Strong analytical skills, deep curiosity, and the ability to coherently convey complex ideas are paramount to this role.

The internship will start February 15 and end March 30th. Interns are expected to complete 20 hours with EIP per week. We accept applications until November 7.

Investment Intern (Spring)

Investing in companies that are transforming the energy sector is EIP’s core business. Our sweet spot is investing in companies with proven technologies and business models at inflection or growth stage that can be reliably deployed today across core utility services, disruptive technologies, and consumer products. Our investment internship program gives interns the opportunity to work at the world’s largest sustainable energy fund with some of the leading investment professionals in the business. EIP has positions available for MBA and pre-MBA candidates, and includes opportunities to work in due diligence, modeling, and portfolio monitoring.

Commercialization and Innovation Intern (Spring)

EIP is seeking interns to help our utility partners deploy new technologies and to support the growth of our portfolio companies. The intern will work on projects that span utility investors and our portfolio companies. Applicants should have a keen interest in energy, sustainability, and innovation and can expect to get exposure to board-level utility strategy, entrepreneurial growth strategy, cleantech investing, complex enterprise sales, business development, and utility operations. Curiosity, the ability to learn quickly, and excellent organization and follow-through are paramount to this role. Experience in the energy industry is a plus.

Operations Intern (Spring)

The Operations team covers deal operations, analytics, internal and external events, fundraising and marketing, and finance. Applicants should have an interest in at least one of these areas – an interest across multiple areas is a plus. We are looking for individuals that love getting things done, are extremely organized, and have some skills in areas that can be put to work right away (Tableau, Excel, Salesforce, PowerPoint, etc.).
