The Strategy Analyst will report to EIP’s VP of Strategy & Business Development and work closely with EIP’s Innovation & Commercialization and Investing teams. The position is based in Cologne, Germany. There is ample opportunity for advancement for the right candidate who demonstrates strong performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Sectoral and strategic analysis

  • Analyzing relevant sectors, businesses and technologies, including desk-based research and interviews with market participants
  • Identifying potentially investable companies and researching those companies’ product, track record and strategy
  • Developing market landscapes to better understand the ecosystem of companies in a given market
  • Tracking utility innovation strategies and identifying new areas for EIP to explore via analysis and investment

Presenting EIP’s insights

  • Building and developing slide decks to support external presentations
  • Owning and maintaining EIP’s substantial library of PPT-based insight presentations
  • Presenting, both publicly and privately, to share EIP’s research and insights with our utility partners and the outside world

Working group support

  • Providing logistical and content support for EIP’s working groups, which combine experts from our utility partners with EIP’s internal analysis to develop strategic guidance and vet innovators
  • Developing content and engagement strategies for ongoing working groups
  • Leading workshops on strategic topics

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
